Kraal Assistant
The Kraal assistant drawer reviews work surfaced on Daily Board and Work List, determines which items it has a safe action path for, and lets you run, approve, or route that work in one bounded pass.
In the app this is always just Kraal — the same agent behind the Kraal panel's Ask and Today tabs. This page covers the assistant drawer used to run sweeps over board work.
Opening the assistant
Open the assistant from supported Daily Board and Work List surfaces — for example, Run Kraal Sweep on the Work List when the page says selected work is safe for Kraal to continue. The drawer opens in context and states its scope.
Scope
The drawer tells you which scope it is working in — your whole portfolio or a selected client — and you can narrow Kraal to one client without changing the Daily Board's own scope. Kraal usually shows fewer items than the board: it lists only the items it has an action path for. That's expected.
The metric strip
The strip across the top counts the work in scope, and each metric doubles as a filter:

Working the list
Each item shows what the issue is, which client it belongs to, and the specific action Kraal will take, with a safety note confirming whether the action changes your books. A Kraal can do this badge marks the items with a confirmed action path. Items that say "read-only" or "does not change accounting records" are safe to let Kraal handle.
When an item needs timing rather than judgment, the drawer offers Configure Snooze so it comes back when it's actually actionable.
Running and reading back the result
Run the eligible work and the drawer reads back exactly what happened — for example "Kraal completed all N items successfully," or the issues it hit. Per item, outcomes are: completed, skipped, held for you (Kraal prepared the work but deliberately stopped for a person), or rejected. Held-for-you work lands back in your approval and review lanes; nothing posts silently from a sweep.
Sweep receipts persist: execution receipts, source rechecks, and the held-for-you remainder are reviewable after the run, so you can audit what ran and why.
Safety and control
- You control what Kraal can do on its own, per client. In Approval-first (Locked Down) mode, Kraal posts nothing without your explicit approval. In Supervised mode, it can post low-risk routine entries within strict guardrails (amount caps, daily limits, materiality, new-vendor holds, restricted categories) — and high-risk entries such as tax provisions, equity, and revenue recognition always wait for you. - All actions are logged. You can audit what Kraal did, and eligible auto-posted entries offer an Undo that creates a reversing entry. If a period is locked or an entry cannot be reversed automatically, Kraal leaves it unchanged and explains the next step.
