Daily Rhythm for a CPA Firm

Use this each morning when you want to know which clients need the firm, what one client needs from you, and what is waiting in the mail.

Goal

Leave the morning with the firm's list shorter, and with a receipt for what Kraal did on its own.

Morning checklist

  1. Open Portfolio. Read which clients are at risk and what needs you. Click a client's name to open Home. Fix backlog opens that client's overdue close.
  2. On Home, read the Needs you card and the four tiles: Cash, AR overdue, AP overdue, and Ran auto today. The overdue figures are aging, as of today. See all in Inbox opens the rest.
  3. Open Inbox. Work Needs you, which splits into Signatures and Reviews. Then look at Waiting on client.
  4. Open a row and read the evidence beside the list before you approve, decline, or follow the link the row names.
  5. Sign a period lock under Signatures. Ask Kraal does not lock a period.
  6. Open a client's Close or Books only when the row or the tile points you there.

If Kraal emails a weekday briefing, treat it as a short list. The full list is Portfolio and the Inbox.

End of the day

  1. Return to Portfolio.
  2. Confirm nothing urgent is still under Needs you.
  3. Open Receipts when you need proof of what a person or Kraal did.

What good looks like

  • You can say which clients need the firm without opening every client.
  • Home's overdue tiles match aging.
  • A draft from Ask Kraal is a row in the Inbox, and the chat did not post it.
  • Done is what you addressed. Older finished work is in Receipts.
