Sharing Reports with Clients

Kraal lets firms share finished financial reports and report packs with clients through secure, read-only links — without giving the client access to the firm's workspace. There are two kinds of share:

• Shared reports — a single report layout, viewed in the browser.
• Shared report packs — a client-ready bundle of finished documents (the firm's "shop window"), with optional downloads.

Both open on a clean, firm-branded page and are marked so search engines do not index them.

Shared reports

From the report dashboard, select a saved report layout and choose Share to open the share dialog.

In the dialog you can:

• Generate a link. Choose whether the recipient can also export or download the report, and set how long the link stays valid (7, 30, or 90 days).
• Copy the link. The link is shown once, immediately after you generate it — copy it then and send it to the client. For security, existing links are listed by their settings (permission, expiry, and when they were last opened) but the link itself is not shown again. If you need a fresh link, generate a new one.
• Revoke a link. Remove a link at any time; it stops working immediately.

The client opens the link and sees the report on a branded page. If you allowed export or download, the client can save the report as PDF, Excel, or Word.

Shared report packs

A report pack is a client-ready delivery bundle. You can share a pack's link directly or send it to the client with a firm-voiced email in one step from the pack view.

On the shared pack page, the client sees:

• The firm's name, accent color, and logo
• The pack title and reporting period
• Downloadable documents (PDF or Excel), when downloads are enabled for the link

If downloads are turned off, the page explains that documents are available from the firm instead.

Link lifetime and revocation

Pack share links always expire. If you do not choose an expiry, the link is valid for 30 days, and any expiry you set is capped at 90 days. You can revoke a pack link at any time, which stops it from working immediately. Kraal records when a client opens a pack or downloads a document, so your firm can see client engagement.

Security and access

• Share links are single-recipient by intent. Do not post them in shared public channels.
• Every link expires, and can be revoked early.
• Shared pages are read-only and never expose the firm's workspace, other clients, or internal data.
• If a client reports that a link stopped working, generate a fresh one — an expired or revoked link cannot be reactivated.
