Work List
The Work List is the full inventory of open work across your portfolio, grouped by what each item is waiting on. Use it when you want the complete picture behind Daily Board, or when you're clearing one kind of work in bulk.
The five groups
Every open item lands in exactly one group, named for what it needs:
| Group | What's in it | Primary action |
|---|---|---|
| Needs approval | Work Kraal prepared that is waiting for your sign-off | Review approvals |
| Waiting on client | Items blocked on a document, answer, or approval from the client | Follow up |
| Needs setup or source | Items blocked by a connection, permission, or configuration problem | Fix blocker |
| Ready for Kraal | Safe work Kraal can run on its own once you say go | Let Kraal run |
| Needs review | Items that need a person's judgment before anything else happens | Review next |
For an operating company, the client group reads "Waiting on" your company name instead.
Focus filters
Use the focus filters to narrow the list to one group — approvals, client-blocked, setup-blocked, ready-to-run, or review — when you're working a single lane. If Daily Board showed blocked items, start from the setup-or-source group to see what's actually stuck.
Running a sweep from the list
When the Ready for Kraal group has work, use Run Kraal Sweep to let Kraal process it in one bounded pass. The result reads back per item: completed, skipped, held for you (Kraal prepared the work but deliberately stopped for a person), or rejected. Held-for-you items return to the approval or review groups — nothing posts silently from a sweep.
Honest counts
The Work List only claims what the data supports:
- A chat question-and-answer with Kraal is conversation, not work — it doesn't appear here.
- Items whose underlying documents are already posted or archived drop off rather than deep-linking to something you can't open.
- An item only shows an Approve action when there is genuinely staged work behind it to approve; choices that are decisions rather than sign-offs say so.
Getting oriented
- Explain page in the header asks Kraal to summarize what's on the list right now and what to do first.
- Each item's action button opens it where it lives — the owning workspace, document, or review — with your place preserved.
